Spring is here, and that means that school is almost out for the summer! The weather is perfect to hang out with your friends in town, but be careful, because the next body they find could be yours.
Okay, so, yeah, Harper was skipping class. No big deal. It wasn't as if she skipped all of her classes. This was just one out of the whole day. Spending time with Amor was at the top of her list of things to do, but Amor was at daycare and she still had classes to attend. Ah, well, whatever. Sitting out here would be fine. It was a nice day, and she was bound to enjoy it. People would be out here pretty soon, because a whole bunch of kids skipped here. She had hung out with them before. The were loads of fun, but they never really hung out anywhere else. Conditional friends, kind of, is what they were. Friends sometimes, but not other times. It didn't matter, because she had enough friends to be content. She didn't need loads of people to swarm around her to be happy.
Feeling a bit warm, she put her pink hair up into a ponytail. A loose one though, just so it would keep her a little cooler. Harper hated tying her hair up, but she wasn't sure why. It just felt odd. Now, she could spot the tree she usually sat under. It was a nice spot, and none of the faculty members ever caught her here. It was secret, which was perfect. She liked nothing more than privacy. The bag on her shoulder was set down gently near the base of the tree, soon her body joining it. Wow, was it empty. People needed to get outside, and soon. Harper needed to talk to people, have some fun. Maybe even cause some trouble. Now, she wasn't much of a trouble maker, but everyone has the urge to be different every so often. Well, more different than usual. Around this school, she didn't see too many people with bright hair and a septum piercing. She didn't see many cute people either.
Harper liked both boys and girls, and when she said there were almost no cute people, you knew she couldn't be lying. Of course, her definition of cute was different than a lot of people's, but she did see if people who weren't her type were cute. There were a few though, so that was good. A few were in her classes, so they gave her something to look at when she was bored. They had never noticed though, thankfully. The girls were probably straight, and they would freak out on her if they noticed. Or they wouldn't care, but it would make it awkward for Harper. She didn't like when people knew about stuff like that or had been involved physically with someone and no longer had that relationship. It was weird.
"Where is everyone?" she mumbled to herself softly, a little frustrated she was alone. It had been five whole minutes and no one was there. It made her think though. Harper started thinking of all sorts of things, especially Amor. She needed another parent figure. And she was getting pretty lonely. After all, she hadn't had a real relationship since Ryan left. No one here knew about Ryan though. Only Arielle did, and she didn't tell anyone. As far as she knew, anyway. Arielle was cute, but she was her friend. Her friend and her roommate, and she couldn't lose her. No one else knew as much about Harper to make things work out.
Her eyes had been staring at the ground, but they looked up when she heard footsteps. A familiar person was coming towards her, and it made her smile.
